Wow, this blog has gotten to be pretty dark and heavy lately what with all the almost-dying I’ve been doing. I thought you all might appreciate it if I lightened things up (cough and actually updated my blog cough). SO. I’d like to share some nonsense with you that has resulted from my being so sick.
As people with invisible illnesses, we all have to deal with some awkward questions and situations. I could (and will!) write a whole post about my adventures in explaining what “endometriosis” is (if you don’t know, BEWARE THE GOOGLING. I am not responsible for the images that come up scarring you for life). Anyway, my point is that as unpleasant as it is to be sick in any way, it often results in stories that are funny. Actually, almost any time something awful happens to me that could even slightly be considered funny, I’m usually acutely aware of it. Maybe this is a writer thing. Anyway, I am not offended by people laughing at the ridiculous things that happen to me. I actually encourage it. Laughter’s the best medicine, and sometimes if you don’t laugh at yourself, you’ll cry. So get your LOLs ready for the comment section, because here comes the funny.
This is an actual factual true story:
(side note: if you’re interested in seeing a lot of randomness that doesn’t make sense and is probably old, check out my deviantART account! http://diehardguardgirl.deviantart.com/gallery/ ! )
I am not editing that diologue at all. Completely factual story, my friends.
Here’s another completely factual story:
So I come in to work for the first time in a LONG time, and I have a big ugly bandage on my face. I work at a production company, and we were going to take some photos in the studio. My boss asked me to sit in so he could check the lights, meaning he took awful pictures of me looking awful.
Later on, when he showed me, I said it looked like I’d been in prison for a while and gotten a little roughed-up. The next day, what do I find on my facebook?
Yup. This is my life you guys.
Let’s just say I really appreciate being INVISIBLY ill again.
